New York is proud to be the world’s cultural capital and home to citizens from nearly every country on the globe. As a result, New Yorkers have been fortunate to be able to enjoy festivals presented throughout the city from so many of these ountries. Through these festivals, they can revisit their countries of origin or experience another country’s culture, music, art, and cuisine.

We are delighted to hear that for the first time, the Russian Federation is planning such a festival in the fall of 2004, and we look forward to the many exhibitions, performances, and activities that will enrich our city.
